Here's your Festival Jam forecast for Thursday

The Smoky Hill River Festival kicks off this evening in Salina's Oakdale Park with the 35th SM Hanson Music Festival Jam.

Here's the forecast for today and tonight from the National Weather Service:

Shower and thunderstorm chances will gradually increase from the west and northwest today and tonight.

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across portions of western, central, and northern Kansas, along with pockets of heavy rainfall and localized flooding.

The strongest activity will be capable of dime to quarter size hail and 50 to 60 mph winds.
