The Southeast of Saline Lady Trojans (7-5), having won six of their last eight contests will look to keep their momentum rolling when they host the 2-9 Lady Bearcats of Ellsworth tonight at 6pm.

While Ellsworth has not found much success this season, they are coming off of a big 42-31 win over the LaCrosse Leopards.

The Bearcats are incredibly young, without a single senior and only one junior on the roster, but do have a good base of young talent that they hope can help them win in the future.

“This Ellsworth team is really young,” SES head coach Shauna Smith said. “They lost a lot of games last year and it feels like they’re really focused on rebuilding this year.”

Ellsworth is led in scoring by Natalie Rolfs. The lone junior averages 6.6 points a game alongside Peyton Coonrod, Greta Klein, Kylan Turnipseed and Rylan Ohl.

Southeast will need to be sharp tonight to keep their momentum rolling despite Ellsworth's record.

“We’re due to have a good shooting night, it’s been awhile since we had one of those. This isn’t going to be an easy game for us, we’ve still got to go out and play.”

Tip off is scheduled for 6pm at Southeast of Saline High School, and can be heard on KINA (910 AM or 107.5 FM) or streamed on Salina Post courtesy of Commercial Tire Center.
