MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State women’s basketball will compete in the 2025 Cancun Challenge at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya on November 27-29, 2025. This will be K-State’s third appearance in the Cancun Challenge.
The Wildcats are slated to play three games in the event and are in the Mayan Division. Among its three games, the Wildcats will face South Dakota State. Additional teams in the event will be announced at a later date.
K-State has played in Cancun four times in its history. The Wildcats’ first trip to Cancun came in 1999 in the Cancun Tournament, followed by a trip to the Caribbean Classic in 2007. K-State has taken part in the Cancun Challenge in 2011 and 2018.

Tonight’s game is K-State’s annual Play 4 Kay game. The first 3,000 fans will receive a free pink K-State women’s basketball t-shirt courtesy of Ascension Via Christi. In addition, the first 1,000 K-State students will receive a free Gap Goat dad hat.
