The facility designated WKS3, which represents Amazon's first operational site in central Kansas and serves a 60-mile radius extending from Russell to Junction City and from Concordia to Newton. In its first five months, the station has processed more than 1.7 million packages, with operations ramping up to 14,000 packages daily during peak holiday periods.

“I’m proud to say Amazon is strengthening the U.S. economy with significant investments and the creation of good jobs, and I'm incredibly optimistic about our continued support for communities across America,” said Ashleigh de la Torre, Amazon's Vice President of Public Policy. "I also want to recognize the hard work of the Salina Airport Authority and our exceptional partners Shelli and Pieter; their team set a best-in-class example of what strong community collaboration looks like."
