Kenton K. Cross (Kelly), 79, of Salina, Kansas, passed away on Friday November 14, 2025 at Salina Regional Hospital. He was born on December 3, 1945 in Salina, Kansas to his parents Orley Leroy Cross and Creta Marie Wilt.
Kenton married Donna Jean Cassler November 5, 1966 in California at the Lynwood Methodist Church. Together they would have two daughters: Laura (Lori) Cates and Dawn Petre.
Kenton proudly served in the United States Navy. Enlisting in 1966 before being Honorably discharged in 1972. He had a passion for fishing and playing solitaire in his free time.
He worked as a truck driver. Then would go on to retire as a maintenance man after many years from the Salina Senior Center.
Kenton is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, his wife, Donna. Survivors include their two children, Laura (Lori) Cates and Dawn Petre. He was also a loving grandfather to four grandchildren: Ashleigh, Jordan, Alayna, and Kelly as well as five great grandchildren: Asiah, Jozlyn, London, Jameson, Jacey.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2025 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 East Crawford Street, Salina, Kansas 67401 with Pastor Blaine Herron as officiant. Burial will follow in Grandview Mill Creek Cemetery, 9930 Fairview Church Road, Riley, Kansas 66449.
