Damage, theft total $8,000 in incident south of Assaria

ASSARIA - Multiple vehicles were damaged and multiple tools were stolen in an incident south of Assaria.

Sometime between April 28 and Saturday, someone did the following damage at a location in the 400 block of E. Lapsley Road, Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan said this morning.

●Broke a window on a 1996 Chevrolet Caprice, $400 estimated damage

●Broke the windshield and back window of a 2000 Ford Taurus, $400 estimated damage

●Broke the windshield of a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice, $800 estimated damage

●Damaged a 1984 L3 combine, $1,500

●Damaged a 1979 L3 combine, $1,500

●Damaged a 1973 Road Ranger camper, $500

●Damaged a 1973 Homette mobile home, $700

Additionally, a red Snap-on Road Chest tool box full of hand tools and valued at $2,200 was stolen, Soldan said.

The damaged property and stolen tools belonged to Derald Blake, Assaria, Benjamin Workman, Smolan, and Brandon Clintsman, Lindsborg, Soldan said.
