Two accidents occur due to slick road conditions in Saline County

According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office on January 9 at around 4:45 pm, a single-vehicle accident occured southwest of the county, near Smolan.

Reportedly, a 2006 Infiniti SUV was traveling too fast for conditions, slid off the road and landed on it top in a creek. Two occupants, a 46-year old female driver (Falun, KS) and 32-year old female passenger (Salina, KS) complained of pain after suffering minor injuries, but denied EMS assistance.

Then that same day at 7:30 pm, a 2018 Ford Fusion driven by a 20-year old female (Beloit, KS) slide off the roadway on I-135, milepost 82.

No damages or injuries were reported.
