The Salvation Army has announced that it will open as a cooling center during the extreme heat forecast for the next few days.

The Salvation Army Community Center, 1137 N. Santa Fe Avenue, will be open from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Those needing relief from the heat should go to the south door.
Snacks and cold drinks will be available.
