Travis Dion Cheatum, age 46, entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 6, 2025, in El Paso, Texas. He was born on September 18, 1978, in Garden City, Kansas, to Jamie and Glenda Cheatum. He was a devoted father, loving son, cherished brother, proud grandfather, and loyal friend. His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Travis is survived by his parents, Jamie and Glenda Cheatum; his children, Taylyr Webb, Kylee (Tad) Holm, Lane Cheatum, Jackson Cheatum, and Dallas Cheatum; and his cherished grandson, T.J. Holm. Travis is also survived by his sisters, Gretchen Holopirek and Sabrina (Jason) Fink; his three nieces and two nephews; and his loving grandmother, Rita Roehl. He will be dearly missed by numerous extended family members and close friends who will honor his memory.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert Roehl, Richard Cheatum, and Patty Cheatum. We find comfort knowing that Travis is probably fishing with his grandpas now, enjoying their company in peaceful surroundings.

Travis had a deep love for life, finding joy in his hobbies, including playing games, watching sports, spending time with his church family, enjoying hunting and fishing. His kind spirit and loving nature touched everyone he met. Travis’s spirit, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of compassion, joy, and loyalty will be remembered with fondness and affection, and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM (Mountain Time) at the Syracuse First United Methodist Church; 409 N Main St, Syracuse, KS 67878.
