KDOT begins bridge approach work on I-70; some ramps closed

The Kansas Department of Transportation has begun work to repair bridge approaches on Interstate 70 in Ellsworth, Lincoln, and Saline counties.

During the first phase of construction, the following I-70 ramps in Ellsworth County will be closed until mid-August, weather permitting.

Westbound I-70 exit 225 ramp to K-156. On ramp from K-156 to Eastbound I-70. Westbound I-70 exit 209 ramp to 6th Road. On ramp from 6th Road to Eastbound I-70

Bettis Asphalt and Construction Inc. of Topeka is the prime contractor for this $5.6 million project and has scheduled work for all phases of construction to be completed by 2024, weather permitting.
