An award-winning columnist and journalist will again speak in Salina about "Fighting War with the Power of Art."
Max McCoy will present at the Salina Unitarian Universalist Fellowship regular Sunday service at 10:30 am on August 2 (901 Beatrice).
Those who cannot attend can join via Zoom at uusalina.org.
"Historically, resistance movements have harnessed the power of human expression — paintings, essays, icons, paper cranes — as paths toward peace. It’s easy to feel crushed when confronted by today’s challenges. But this is just the moment to use our creativity to share something beautiful and hopeful with the world," said McCoy.
The church welcomes people of all persuasions to attend.
McCoy formerly spoke at the church in August 2025 and presented his story about atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that happened on Monday, August 6, 1945.
