Yesterday, at 10:39 p.m., the Salina Police Department responded to a vehicle crash at 1727 W. Crawford St. Amy Morgan-Brooks, 50, of Salina, made a U-turn going east on Cypress Street and subsequently crashed into an AT&T utility box.
She drove her gold 2005 Chevy Trailblazer to the Kwick Shop at 1727 W. Crawford St. when her husband called SPD to report the incident.
"Our officers made contact with her and thought she was under the influence," said SPD sergeant Kyle Tonniges. "Officers arrested her, and then a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found in her vehicle."
SPD arrested Morgan-Brooks and requested charges for a DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
