OTTAWA COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 9 p.m. Monday in Ottawa County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2009 Buick Lucerne driven by Judi L. Allison, 48, Delphos, was northbound on U.S. 81 10 miles north of Salina.
The driver swerved to miss a 2004 Chevy Impala driven by Jonathan M. Hume, 31, Gaylord, that was on the shoulder and pulling into the northbound lane.
The Buick then struck the bridge railing and came to rest in the northbound lanes.
EMS transported Allison to the hospital in Salina. Hume and a passenger were not injured. All three were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
