Rose Marie Bloomberg, Assaria

Rose Marie Bloomberg, 94, of Assaria died Friday, April 29, 2022 at her rural Assaria home. Rose was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandma. Rose was born January 26, 1928 in Lindsborg, KS. She is the daughter of the late Elmer Carl and Freda Elvera (Varnlof) Lindholm. She married Elton E. Bloomberg on January 11, 1959 at Lindsborg, KS.
Rose was a lifelong Lindsborg and Assaria area resident. She was a wife, mother, and homemaker. Rose was a member of Salemsborg Lutheran Church. Her many hobbies included watching her great grand-daughters play and grow up, eating breakfast at Neighbors Cafe in McPherson, watching the ducks at McPherson Pond, Maxwell tours, raising a garden and planting flowers, and spending time with family.
She is survived by her daughters Maxine Bloomberg of Lindsborg, KS, and Darlene K. Bloomberg of Assaria, KS; sister Dorothy E. Brooks of Salina, KS; granddaughter Liberty Patterson (Jason) of Assaria, KS; and great-granddaughters Callie Patterson of Assaria, KS and Carly Patterson of Assaria, KS.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents; husband Elton; and sister LaVann Lindholm.
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 4 from 5-7 p.m. at Crick-Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, Lindsborg, KS.
The funeral will be held 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 at Salemsborg Lutheran Church, 3831 W Salemsborg Rd., Smolan, KS with Pastor Ethan Feistner officiating. Burial will follow at Salemsborg Lutheran Cemetery.
