Kansas Department of Transportation
The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) will begin a project to install Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations at the Rolling Hills Zoo on April 20, 2026.
During construction, charging stations will be installed in the parking lot of the zoo with minimal impacts to traffic.
KDOT awarded the construction contract of $99,887.76 to Osborne Construction Inc., of Topeka.
Work is scheduled to be completed by July 2026, conditions permitting.
Motorists are advised to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones.
