Matthew James Teel, 38, was born on August 15, 1984, in Salina, KS and passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022.

He spent his childhood in Salina before moving to Solomon, KS in 1996.

As an honor roll student, Matt graduated from Solomon High School in 2002. He attended Brown Mackie College for criminal justice before starting his 20-year career at Petro 2. During his tenure, he held multiple positions from being a cashier to general manager. Over the years, he worked with staff he loved and cared for.

Matt was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Amber (Klaus) Teel, four children, Anna, William, Abby, and Clark, mother Deborah Teel, brother Mike Teel, two uncles, three aunts, 11 cousins, and many friends.

Matt was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, father William Teel, uncles Wes and Doyle Teel, sister-in-law Rebecca Rogers-Teel.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on September 17th at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1425 S. Ohio, Salina, KS.

In remembrance of Matt’s life, the family asks that any charitable contributions be made to the Matthew Teel memorial fund at the Bank of Tescott.
