It may be the summer season, but the City of Salina wants you to know that some school zones will be active as summer school begins on Tuesday.

Salina USD 305 summer school begins Tuesday at the following locations, according to information from the city.

Cottonwood Elementary School
215 S. Phillips Avenue

Heusner Elementary School
1300 Norton Street

Schilling Elementary School
3121 Canterbury Drive

The full schedule is as follows, according to the city.

During these time periods, the reduced speed school zones around the three schools will be enforced. Flashing lights on school zone signs will be activated to remind drivers of the reduced speed zones.

The remainder of the reduced speed school zones in Salina will not be enforced until the 2021-2022 school year begins in August, the city noted.
