More than $28,000 worth of rings stolen from local jewelry store

A local jewelry store is out more than $28,000 after 17 rings were stolen Sunday.

Sometime between 1-2 p.m. Sunday, two ring display flats were stolen from Riddle's Jewelry in the Central Mall, 2259 South Ninth Street, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester reported this morning. The flats contained 17 men's rings with a total value of more than $28,000, he noted.

According to Forrester, surveillance video is being reviewed for suspect information.
