Clarence Guldner, Jr. passed away June 11, 2021, at the age of 83. He was born July 12, 1937, in Lyons, Kansas to Clarence Demerle Sr. and Edith (Neander) Guldner. His early years were spent farming with his dad. After graduating from Kansas State University he worked for 38 years for the state of Kansas as an Investigator/Entomologist.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and boating. After arthritis took his ability to participate in these outdoor activities, he enjoyed traveling to varies parts of the country.
He married Barbara (Parks) Guldner on January 14, 1961, and she survives at the home. He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol Shepherd. Other survivors are his daughter Deborah (Guldner) Harrison of Albuquerque, NM, son Don Guldner of Abilene, KS, grandchildren, Kristen Scott, Kyle Harrison, Kalyssa Engles, Amberlee Gleason, Chelsi Allison and Andrea Ochoa and eight great-grandchildren.
Clarence was a former member of the Clay Center Eagles Lodge and a long time member of the Clay Center Elks Lodge where he served in numerous positions on both the state and local level. Clarence joined the Elks while living in Lawrence, Kansas before moving to Clay Center, KS in 1972.
Funeral Services: Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home in Clay Center, KS
