Obituary of Erma J. Cornett:
Erma J. Cornett, daughter of Roy C. Blackburn and Sylvia (Walter) Blackburn was born November 1, 1932 at rural Belleville, Kansas and passed away on November 17, 2021 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 89.
Erma was united in marriage to Glen V. Cornett on March 25, 1951 and to this union five children were born, Kathy, Connie, Jack, Shirley and Janet. She was a farm wife and homemaker.
She was a member of Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS, CWF, quilting group, WWW Club, Stardust Study Club, and active with her children in the Rydal Rustlers 4-H Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Sylvia Blackburn, husband Glen V. Cornett, four brothers, Donald, Marvin, Dale, Eddie, and two sisters, Freta Cornett, Donna Holmes.
She is survived by four daughters, Kathy (Ron) Fielder of Swisher, Iowa, Connie (Paul) Meyer of Deshler, Nebraska, Shirley (Patrick) Blackburn of Midland, Texas, Janet (Ken) Moeller of Beloit, Kansas; one son, Jack (Sheila) Cornett of rural Scandia, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Boman of Hebron, Nebraska; two sisters-in-law, Rosalyn Blackburn of Richland, Missouri, Ilene Kelly of Belleville, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Warren Holmes of Manhattan, Kansas; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at three p.m., Saturday, November 20, 2021, Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS, conducted by Pastor Jacob Rice.
Interment will be in Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
