Glenda Carol Reynolds

Glenda’s life began on December 4, 1946 in Watonga, OK. She was the daughter of Glen C. and Wanda Mary (McQuilliams) Lake. Glenda attended both Wichita State and Pittsburg State University. She was united in marriage to Ernest “Bill” W. Reynolds on January 29, 1965, in Wichita. Glenda retired from the Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services after 25 years. She enjoyed volunteering her time with CASA, Genesis EFC, and the General Federated Women’s Club. She is survived by her husband Bill of Whitewater; children Tracey (David) Jones of Keller, TX, and Trisha Macy of Wellington, KS; grandchildren Caitlin Newsholme, Jordan Todd, Trevor Macy, Rebecca Kendrick and Jacob Jones; and great grandchildren Logan, Sawyer, Jackson, Seyla, Cheyenne, Wren, Elijah, Hadley, Scarlett, and Jade. Glenda passed away at her home on Friday June 14, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Linda and Brenda. Glenda made a bequest to the University of Kansas Medical School to use her earthly body for medical research. Lamb Funeral Home is serving the family. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Genesis Evangelical Free Church ( 2611 E. Pawnee, Wichita). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Harvey County CASA or Genesis EFC at 2611 E. Pawnee, Wichita, KS.
