
Nadine S. Lee, 82, of Sylvan Grove, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home on November 11, 2025. She was born on May 22, 1943, in Tipton, Kansas, to Rudolph and Rose (Spiess) Konzem.
Nadine grew up in Tipton and attended Tipton Catholic Schools. She later continued her education, earning her master’s degree in pathology. Nadine dedicated much of her professional life to serving others as a laboratory technician in hospitals, where she was known for her steady work ethic, precision, and compassion.
Throughout her life, Nadine was known for her warm spirit, her curiosity, and her love for adventure. An avid animal lover, she found joy in caring for and spending time with animals of all kinds. She loved to travel, and one of her favorite trips was attending the balloon festival in New Mexico. She delighted in collecting unique treasures—especially rocks—and enjoyed peaceful days spent fishing. Nadine also appreciated good food and good company, and she was always ready for tacos and a margarita.
Nadine is survived by her sisters, Joyce Pertl of Lucas, Kansas, and Linda Cook of Wellington, KS; nieces and nephews, Brian (Pamela) Pertl of Bunker Hill, Kansas and their children: Shane (Mindy) Pertl of Lucas, Kansas, Odessa Pertl of Bison, Oklahoma, and Mox and Mojo Pertl of Lucas, Kansas, Laura (Gene) Pierce of Bullard, Texas, Jillian (Patrick) Kent and their children: Avery and Adelyn of Greenville, SC, Tosha (Josh) McBride and their children: Tahlia and Everest of Rowlett, TX, Khristopher (Brooklynn) Pierce of Pflugerville, TX, and Bobby Cook of Salina, KS.
Nadine is preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Rose Konzem; brother-in-law, Ronald Pertl; and her dog Farrah.
