Salina- Catherine Anne Meikle (Greene) passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021 peacefully at home at age 66. She was a loving daughter and sister to 8 siblings.
Cathy was born on December 30, 1954 in Salina to James and Geraldine Greene. She attended Catholic elementary schools in Kansas and California and graduated from Cleveland High School in Reseda California in 1973.
Hard-working and devoted to her parents, Cathy worked a variety of jobs in California and Kansas before settling in Salina to care for her mother.
Cathy loved her family, and with her mother, she hosted many happy gatherings at the family's childhood home in Salina.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, James. She is survived by her mother Geraldine of Atchison, sisters Theresa Greene and Mary Margaret Hays (Michael), and brothers James (Christine), William (Kelley), Thomas (Janet), Mark (Becky), Patrick (Romunda) and David (Debbie), 10 aunts and uncles, 18 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina.
