Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges said this morning that the Salina Police Department received an additional 54 calls for service for fireworks between 7:00 a.m. on July 5 and 7:00 a.m. on July 6.

According to Salina Police Captain Gary Hanus, this year between June 27 and July 5, the Salina Police Department received a total of 80 calls for services due to complaints about fireworks.
Hanus said this morning that last year during the same period SPD received 101 calls for service due to firework complaints.
