Police are looking for a white pickup believed to be involved in an incident of shots being fired in north Salina early Sunday morning.
A witness reported hearing seven to eight gunshots shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday in the area of S. Columbia Avenue and E. Iron Avenue, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said this morning.
Surveillance video from the area showed a white, mid-2000s Dodge Ram pickup pull up to the stop sign at the intersection of S. Columbia Avenue/E. Iron Avenue. As the pickup was turning left onto E. Iron Avenue, someone inside the pickup fired four shots, the video showed. As the pickup was traveling west on E. Iron Avenue, three to four more shots were fired, Forrester said.
Officers were able to recover five shell casings, he said.
