While the second round of the sub-state tournament tends to test most teams, Sacred Heart’s boys aced it with little trouble, downing Bennington 56-32 to advance to the sub-state championship game.

The Bulldogs kept things interesting for a quarter, trailing just 15-8 after the first, but Sacred Heart slammed the gas from there, pulling away to take a 38-16 lead into the second.
The Knights’ relentless style of offense continued in the third quarter as Sacred Heart went up 56-25, securing the running clock and coasting their way to a 56-32 victory.
Sacred Heart shot 49% from the floor in this game, while holding Bennington to just 29%.
Will Tuttle continued to dazzle, scoring 22 points in the win, backed up by Noah Hines, who finished the evening with 12.
Isaiah Garrett led the charge for the Bulldogs, finishing his night with nine points.
For Bennington, the season comes to a close at 12-13 while the Knights, now 23-2, advance to the sub-state championship game.
Sacred Heart will face Wichita Classical on the campus of Berean Academy this Saturday at 5:00 with a ticket to the 2A state tournament on the line.
