MARION COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Sunday in Marion County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2013 Ford Focus driven by Sharon Sumner, 70, Florence, was eastbound on U.S. 50 at 5th Street in Florence one half mile south of the U.S. 77 junction. The driver was blinded by headlights of westbound traffic. The car traveled into the ditch and struck a culvert.
