McPherson County reports seven new COVID-19 cases

MCPHERSON -- Seven new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported this morning by the McPherson County Health Department. That brings the county total to 49.

Five of the seven new cases had exposure at a long term care facility, the health department noted. Following is the information provided by the health department concerning the new cases.

One newly positive case is an asymptomatic male in his 60s with exposure at a long term care facility.

Another newly positive case is an asymptomatic female in her teens with exposure at a long term care facility.

Another newly positive case is an asymptomatic female in her 90s with exposure at a long term care facility.

Another newly positive case is an asymptomatic female in her 90s with exposure at a long term care facility.

Another newly positive case is an asymptomatic male in his 50s with exposure at a long term care facility.

Another newly positive case is an asymptomatic female in her 20s with known exposure to another positive case in her household.

The last newly positive case is an asymptomatic female in her 20s with known exposure to another positive case in her household.

Of the 49 cases, 39 of the total confirmed cases have now met recovery guidelines set forth by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, including the county's single probable case, the health department noted.
