The Southeast of Saline track and field teams posted impressive results again this week at the Smoky Valley Invitational with the boys winning their fifth straight meet and the girls team finishing in sixth.
Jentrie Alderson was the only individual podium finisher for the girls with a third place result in the 800, while as a team SES took second in the 4x800 meter relay.
The boys team finished their day with 129 points, 34 clear of 5A McPherson who finished in second.
The Trojans got top step finishes from Eddie McVay in the 100-meter dash, Dylan Sprecker in the 800, and Chase Poague in the 110m and 300m hurdles.
McVay also took second in the triple jump, Kanin Elkins finished third in the 400, Dominic Jackson took second in the 800, Luke Gleason wrapped up second in the 1600 and Grant Stumpf earned bronze for his efforts in the high jump and 110 and 300 meter hurdles.
Rounding out the day, the SES boys relay teams came second in the 4x100 and picked up victories in the 4x400 and 4x800 meter relays.
Once again, the Trojans finished as the best team at an invitational that featured much larger 4 and 5A schools, including McPherson, Chapman and Buhler.
