
SALINE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a Salina man for an alleged violent attack on a woman.
Just before 5p.m Friday, officers were dispatched to a domestic violence call in the 1300 block of Winona in Salina, according to Salina Police Sergeant Kyle Tonniges.
A 25-year-old female Salina victim reported an acquaintance identified as 33-year-old Duc Ho of Salina, had attempted to kill her. The two were involved in an argument at the residence. The victim suffered serious injuries when she was struck multiple times and was allegedly strangled by Ho.
At one point Ho also pushed her head into a mirror, causing it to break. The victim attempted to escape multiple times, only to be pulled back inside by Ho.
During the incident, Ho made comments that he was going to kill the victim. She was eventually able to escape to a neighbor’s home where she called 911.
Ho was located a short time later at another residence in Salina. He had a small amount of marijuana in his possession. He was arrested on requested charges of Attempted 2nd degree homicide, Aggravated Kidnapping, Aggravated Battery, Criminal Restraint, and Possession of Marijuana.
