Police: Wichita man with outstanding warrant in Salina, kicks and spits on officers before arrest

A Wichita man with an outstanding warrant from Salina, kicked and spit on officers before his arrest.

According to the Salina Police Department (SPD) on Thursday evening, officers were dispatched to Salina Regional Health Center for the report of an individual who was being discharged from the hospital, but had an outstanding warrant for their arrest.

The suspect was identified as Joel Driscoll of Wichita (65) and when officers made contact with him, he was reportedly non-compliant during the attempted arrest.

SPD stated Driscoll kicked and spit on two different officers. 

He was eventually arrested and transported to the Saline County Jail where he was booked for Battery of Law Enforcement Officer, Interference with Law Enforcement Officer and his outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear.
