Sean Michael Myers, 47, Minneapolis, died Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his rural Minneapolis home. Sean was born April 5, 1977, in Salina to Ray and Alberta (Hoover) Myers.
Sean was a 1995 graduate of Minneapolis High School, and he received a bachelor’s degree at Kansas State University in Ag Tech Management. He was a lifelong farmer and rancher.
Sean was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic Church and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis where he was in the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed barbecuing meat and sharing it with his family. Sean also loved the outdoors and animals. He loved to hunt and fish; especially with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors are his parents, Ray and Alberta Myers; siblings, Tim and Becky Myers, Amy and Gale Deters, Becky and John Worden, IV, and Brian Myers; Goddaughters, Melanie Deters and Rachel Worden; nieces and nephews, Mikki (David) Dellinger, Madilyn, Melanie, Marcail, Mac, and Maceson Deters, Abby and Ryan Myers, and John V (Emma), Patrick, Cecilia, and Rachel Worden.
The family will begin greeting friends at 5:00 P.M., Monday, January 27, at Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467, where the rosary will begin at 7:00 P.M. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 28, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Minneapolis. The family kindly requests in lieu of flowers that memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Ottawa County Fire District #2 and may be left in care of the funeral home.
