
CLOUD COUNTY—One person died in a small plane crash just before 7:30p.m. Sunday in Cloud County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Rans S-21 Airaile Fixed Wing Single-Engine Aircraft piloted by David A. Kadel, 76, Concordia, took off from Concordia, Kansas airport when a possible mechanical issue occurred. The plane lost altitude and nose dived into the ground.
Kadel was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. The FAA and NTSB will investigate.
