MITCHELL COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Saturday in Mitchell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2006 Chevy Malibu driven by Dustin K. West, 31, Cawker City, was eastbound in the 800 block of Wisconsin Street in Cawker City. The struck a pedestrian, identified as LInda B. Clover, 81, Cawker City, who stepped into the roadway from the south curb.
EMS transported Clover to Mitchell County Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. West was properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
