Glenna L. McCaleb, 92, of Junction City, Kansas passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living in Junction City, Kansas.
Cremation will take place. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Kemper Huber officiating. The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. A graveside will follow the memorial service at Dwight Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Junction City Animal Shelter, 2424 N. Jackson Street, Junction City, Kansas 66441.
Glenna was born January 10, 1933 in Geary County, Kansas the daughter of Howard and Augusta (Nickoley) Glessner.
Glenna graduated from Dwight High School with the class of 1950. She worked for Central National Bank in Junction City until her retirement. Glenna was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Auxiliary and the Order of Eastern Star.
Glenna enjoyed fishing, gardening, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Kansas Jayhawks basketball and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed feeding the birds and turtles while living at Brookdale.
On March 19, 1950, she married Robert L. McCaleb. He died May 24, 2021.
Survivors include two sons; Dayle McCaleb and wife Julie of Salina, Kansas and Darrel McCaleb and his wife Kaye of Junction City, Kansas; two daughters, Beverly Maley and her husband Rick of Aurora, Colorado and Kimberly Loader and her husband Darren of Clay Center, Kansas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; one son, Gary McCaleb, one brother, Melvin Glessner; three sisters, Lavida Feucht, Bonnie Aaron and Janice Harold.
