Looks like we're in for a windy afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wichita, a dry cold frontal passage will lead to gusty northwest winds for the afternoon. Northwest winds of 25 to 35 mph are possible.
Additionally, a very high grassland fire danger is expected across central Kansas today, NWS noted.
