Kenneth Francis Hammerbacher, 69, of Belleville, KS, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2021. As he entered into eternal rest he was surrounded by his family, friends, and his granddoodles, Darla and Libby.
Kenneth, the only child of Francis F. and Lyla F. (Herod) Hammerbacher, was born on December 15, 1951 at Parsons, Kansas. At an early age, his family moved from southeastern Kansas to Narka, Kansas. Kenny attended Munden High School and later graduated from Belleville High School in 1969. He also attended and graduated from Cloud County Community College. He married Linda Beller on April 8, 1972.
Kenny worked for 42 years at Cloud Ceramics in Concordia, Kansas.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 2609 and also the Bishop Thill Assembly 0295. As a member of the Knights of Columbus, he had the honor to serve as Grand Knight of K of C Council 2609, District Deputy, regional membership chairman and state warden for the Kansas State K of C Council during 2016-2018. He served as faithful comptroller of the Bishop Thill Assembly 0295 for twenty years.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Francis and Lyla Hammerbacher; father-in-law Raymond Beller; sister-in-law Wanda K. (Beller) Isaacson-Shuler; and brother-in-law Dwight Isaacson.
He is survived by his wife Linda; daughter Christa K. (Joe) Blazek, three amazing granddaughters, Jaycee, Julia, and Jordyn; mother-in-law, Ramona Beller; three nephews, Greg (Sarah) Isaacson, of Salida, CO, Brian (Liz) Isaacson of Belleville, KS, and Eric (Lisa) Isaacson, of Junction City, KS; brother-in-law, Don Shuler; and numerous extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October, 29, 2021 at St. Edward Catholic Church, Belleville, KS with Reverend Henry Baxa and Deacon Steve Heiman, celebrants.
Interment will follow at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
A vigil/rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home by the Knights of Columbus Council 2609 and Bishop Thill Assembly 0295.
