Helen Irene Zimmerman, age 102, passed away on Thursday, July 20,2023, in Lakewood, Colorado,

She was born in Russell, Kansas May 4,1921 to Adam Fose and Kathrine Schneider. She worked as clerk and bookkeeper for several businesses in Russell and was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star.

Helen married Dean Zimmerman June 6, 1939. They were married for 68 years. Dean and Helen ran the Sky-Vu Drive In theatre in Russell for 32 years.

She was preceded in death by husband, Dean, daughter, Gwen Writer and son, Fred Zimmerman.

Helen is survived by daughter, Mitzi (Leo) Stambaugh of Denver, four grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A private family burial will take place at the Russell City Cemetery in Russell, Kansas. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
