Bob L. Geiman, 88, of McPherson, Kansas, passed away peacefully at 5:31 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2021 at McPherson Health And Rehab.

Bob was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on April 30, 1933, a son of the late Evaline (Peterson) and Russel Lindell Geiman.

Bob attended Windom Grade School, and graduated from Windom High School, Windom, Kansas in 1951. He then attended Hutchinson Community College, Hutchinson, Kansas, Wichita University, Wichita, Kansas and graduated from McPherson College, McPherson, Kansas.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, McPherson, Kansas.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Bob L. Geiman was united in marriage to Carolyn D. Peden on June 3, 1956 at the First Baptist Church, McPherson, Kansas. The young couple established their first home together in McPherson. This union was blessed with the birth of Kathy, Kent, and Kim.

Through the years Bob worked as a high school teacher and assistant football coach and basketball coach at Marquette and Lucas, Kansas, was owner and operator along with his wife Carolyn of the White Swan, worked for Sierra Homes in the office, was a claims adjuster for Farmers Alliance Insurance Company and State Farm Insurance, and a loan officer for the State Bank of Canton, from which he retired.

Bob was a member of the American Legion Post 24. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising horses, vacationing in Colorado, watching all sports, especially football and basketball, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of over 65 years, Carolyn Geiman, of McPherson, Kansas; his children Kathy Smith and husband Harold, of McPherson, Kansas, Kent Geiman and wife Delores of Houston, Texas, and Kim Morris and husband Ted, of McPherson, Kansas; his seven grandchildren, Brad Smith and wife Jenny, Kristen Naves and husband Joseph, Nicholas Geiman and wife Alicia, Nathan Geiman and wife Sarah, Megan Bogener and husband James, Stephanie Dunn, and Danielle Reilley and husband Jeff; his nine great-grandchildren, Donovan, Breck, Blain, Brody, Ava, Aiden, Finley, Ellis, and Kensley.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Lindell and Evaline Geiman, and his twin brothers Dean and Gene Geiman.

Private family graveside service will be held at the McPherson Cemetery, McPherson, Kansas with Pastor Chris Whitacre officiating. Military honors will be presented by members of the American Legion Post 24 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2715, both of McPherson, Kansas and Mark Casebeer playing Taps.
