Kan. pilot avoids injury after helicopter crash spraying corn field

DICKINSON COUNTY —A Kansas pilot avoided injury after an accident just before 5p.m. Wednesday in Dickinson County.

A 1994 Bell helicopter piloted by 42-year-old Samuel Sutton of Topeka was eastbound spraying a corn field at 2750 Rain Road north of Chapman, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The helicopter struck a  power line and went down. There were no injuries.
