A 17-year-old girl was cited after the car she was driving rear-ended another car in west Salina Thursday morning.

Morgan Crowder, 24, of Salina, was westbound on W. Crawford Street and stopped while waiting to turn south onto Cherokee Drive when her 2007 Dodge Charger was rear-ended by a 2007 Nissan Altima driven by the teen, Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester said Friday morning. The wreck occurred at 8:45 a.m. Thursday.

Crowder suffered neck pain and was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center, Forrester said.

The Altima sustained front-end damage and was towed. The Charger sustained rear-end damage.

Forrester said the girl was cited for following too closely and for violating her restrictions.
