Suspect wanted for car theft captured in north-central Kansas

CLOUD COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a weekend car theft have captured the suspect.

Just after 7:30a.m. Wednesday, police arrested  34-year-lold Ric Jacob Meczywor at the intersection of 15th and Olive in Concordia, according to a media release from Concordia Police.  He was jailed on Cloud County warrants for failure to comply and additional requested charges from the weekend activity are being sent to the county attorney. 

On Sunday, police asked the public for help to locate a Meczqwor for allegedly stealing a silver 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix  with Kansas tag 808SBZ. He is also accused of entering another vehicle  in same parking lot Saturday night. 

Meczywor was booked into the Cloud County Jail in May and released from custody July 6, according to online jail records.
