Jack Lee Edwards, 82, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at The Cedars, McPherson. He owned and operated Edwards Backhoe Service and Edwards Oil Properties.
Jack was born on May 9, 1940, in Tahlequah, OK, the son of Thomas and Sendy (Cattron) Edwards. On November 8, 1968, he was united in marriage to Elouise P. (Neill) Holtzclaw in Pampa, TX.
He was a United States Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #24.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 53 years, Elouise of the home; three daughters, Pamela Wilson (Roy) of Fulton, IL, Angie Bonham (Vernon) of McPherson, KS, and Lynette Reagan of McPherson, KS; a brother, Larry Edwards of Oklahoma City, OK; eight grandchildren, Andrew Bonham, Rachael Anderson, Amanda Wilson, Jeff Wilson, Josh Wilson, Brady Wilson, Emily Speer and Nathan Reagan; 16 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jeffery Holtzclaw, and eight siblings.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 3, 2022, at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Tom Griffith officiating.
