Union Pacific has updated the scheduled stops in our area. Following is the latest information for scheduled area stops, according to information on the Union Pacific <a href="https://www.up.com/heritage/steam/schedule/index.htm">website</a>.

Abilene 201 NW Second Street Arrival: 4:30 p.m. CT Departure: 5 p.m. CT

Salina 400 N. 13th Street Arrival: 6 p.m. CT

Salina 400 N. 13th Street Departure: 9 a.m. CT

Ellsworth Lincoln Avenue crossing Arrival: 10:15 a.m. CT Departure: 10:35 a.m. CT

Wilson Avenue E crossing Arrival: 11:20 a.m. CT Departure: 12:05 p.m. CT

Big Boy, the world's largest steam locomotive, began The Big Boy 2021 Tour on Aug. 5 in Cheyenne, Wyo., to celebrate railroad heritage and the communities Union Pacific serves, the company noted on its website.
