JEWELL COUNTY - A 3.5 magnitude earthquake rattled part of western Jewell County this afternoon.

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, the quake struck at 4:15 p.m. Friday and was centered a couple of miles east of the Jewell County-Smith County line north of I Road.
