Centralia man's motorcycle stolen in Salina

Somtime between Wendesday night and the early morning hours on Thursday, a motorcycle belonging to a Centralia man was reported stolen from a central Salina residence. 

According to Salina Police Department (SPD) Cpt. James Feldman, the theft was reported to SPD at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of E. Minneapolis Ave., where a 21-year-old victim had parked his white 2008 Honda CBR RR motorcycle in the driveway while visiting a friend. The victim stated that the motorcycle went missing sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.

At around noon on October 24, a neighbor reported finding the motorcycle behind a privacy fence in an easement in the 1500 block of East Minneapolis Ave. SPD officers determined that several of the motorcycle's electrical wires had been cut.

Feldman noted that SPD continues to investigate the theft and encourages the public to contact them with any information that may help identify those responsible for the theft and damage. SPD can be reached at (785) 826-7210.
