
Kansas Wesleyan's Malia Mack (JR/Joplin, Mo.) was selected as the KCAC Volleyball Defender of the Week for her efforts last week for the Coyotes.
The KCAC Player of the Week program is selected by conference sports information directors.
Mack was stellar in Wesleyan's lone match of the week, a sweep over rival Bethany in Lindsborg to close out the regular season for the Coyotes. Mack assisted on nine blocks in the match averaging 3.0 per set, helping the Coyotes shut down Bethany's hitters in the match.
Thanks to Mack's efforts, the Coyotes improved to 21-8 overall with the win and secured the No. 4 seed in the KCAC Tournament which started with first-round matches on Tuesday night at home sites.
Kansas Wesleyan will face fifth-seeded Saint Mary on Friday at 11 a.m. in the KCAC Quarterfinals, at the Hutchinson Sports Arena in Hutchinson. The tournament semifinals are at 5 p.m. Friday, followed by the conference championship on Saturday at 2 p.m.
