Teresa L. Catron, 74 of Lewistown, MT passed away on July 15, 2026, at Elkhorn Health and Rehab in Clancy MT. Terri (Teresa) was born in Salina, KS on August 31, 1951, the daughter of Ivan F. and Mary V. (O’Donnell) Gros. She lived in Beverly KS for one year, then moved to Minneapolis KS where she graduated from high school. After graduation, she attended Mary Mount College in Salina where she followed her love of music and pursuing a degree. She then went to Manhattan KS and became the Head Secretary for the Commanding General of Ft. Riley Army Base. It was in this position that she met her husband, Rick Catron, who was serving in the US Army stationed at Ft. Riley. After three months of regular discussions on the phone, the two met at Rick’s promotion board for the first time. The very next day Rick was deployed to Europe for four months. Upon returning, the two started a relationship that lasted 52 years.
Terri was known by many for all her talents with cross-stitch, quilting, cooking, and simply always having a positive and happy demeanor. She had no choice given the three boys she had to raise. Terri was a devoted sports fan. There was no place in the state she wouldn’t travel to watch her son’s playing sports; often offering to drag along anyone interested in going. She could always be found on Saturday and Sunday during football season with her Steelers blanket on her legs, watching football all day. Above all else, Terri loved being a grandma. There were no lengths she wouldn’t go to for all her grandchildren.
Terri is survived by her Husband, Rick, of 50 years of Lewistown; her sons Jason, of Colorado Springs CO, Chad of Mesa AZ, and Todd (Whitney) of East Helena MT; grandchildren Tessa, Liam, Claira, Rilyn, and Remi; and brother Marty (Janet) of Summerfield FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ivan and Virginia.
Terri will be missed by many and rest with the Lord. She will be remembered for her deep love of family and all that entered into it. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to your charity of choice.
