Kansas Wesleyan's Tabetha Deines (SR/Salina, Kan.) has been selected as the KCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Track Athlete of the Week for her performances at last week's Concordia Polar Dog Invitational.
KCAC Players of the Week are selected for their performances during the week by a vote of conference sports information directors.
Deines shattered her own Indoor 1000m school record and posted the top time in the NAIA so far this season of 2:58.98 and qualified for the NAIA National Championships hitting the NAIA A standard. She also ran in the 600m, placing fourth with a time of 1:40.39.
KWU returns to the track this weekend at the Washburn Open on Friday and Saturday in Topeka.
