Two juveniles were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center after allegedly stealing over $400 worth of items from a convenience store.
According to the Salina Police Department, earlier this Wednesday morning at around 1:30 am, an individual called police after noticing the front door of Rod's 2 convenience store (1339 N. 9th) was allegedly smashed. Officers arrived to the scene and determined that a burglary had occurred.
Police stated that over $400 worth of vapes had been stolen. Throughout the investigation, officers determined that two male juveniles potentially committed the burglary.
Subsequently, officers located the juvenile suspects aged 15 and 17, in the 100 block of W. Otis. The vapes stolen were found and recovered among the juveniles.
Both suspects were arrested and taken into custody for requested charges of Burglary, Theft and Damage to Property. The suspects were transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center in Junction City.
